Brian The IT Storyteller
From 5-inch floppy disks and Novell token ring networks to cloud infrastructure and AI — three decades of navigating every wave of technological change, across five industries and four continents.

Information Engineer, Consultant & Strategic Advisor with roots spanning three continents
The Origin Story
From the Caribbean
to the Cutting Edge
Born in Rotterdam to Surinamese parents, raised on the sun-drenched islands of Curaçao and Aruba, educated in Amsterdam — Brian carries a rare cosmopolitan lens that few IT professionals can claim. This multicultural foundation didn’t just shape his worldview; it built his professional superpower: the ability to walk into any organization, any industry, and any culture, and quickly read the room.
When Brian began his IT career, a Novell token ring network was a luxury asset. Data moved on 5-inch floppy disks. MS-DOS wasn’t optional knowledge — it was survival. Today, most professionals in the industry have never heard of either. Brian has lived through every seismic shift in between, from the birth of the internet to cloud computing to the AI era.
“I apply the same approach to every new industry: read, ask, and study — boots on the ground. You never consult from a distance.”
His work spans SMEs, non-profits, multinationals, and the public sector — from hospital systems to aviation platforms, from travel & tourism to government infrastructure. Information engineering and consulting aren’t just his job title. They’re the lens through which he translates technological complexity into human clarity.
